Friday the table was delivered! Lucky Joel was waiting at home for it and not me, because he had to help the two delivery guys carry it in! They brought it preassembled and it was only one inch smaller than our patio door. It looks huge in the room with both leaves in, especially from the angle at which Joel took the photo, but all the better for huge dinner parties. Hospitality, friends, and gathering of family is something Joel and I treasure. Last year we had Thanksgiving at our house and with the delicious dishes made by us and our family, we fed nine and one half. Jaimee was pregnant;) And we had to borrow a long table from the church and put a king size mocha colored sheet on it (those of you who were there, you now know our secret…)
