The Wonderful Rainy Day

Friday after work we met Joel’s side of the family at Luigi’s for supper and caught up. Saturday morning we wakened into a cold dreary world. We headed to the game and after sampling steak, crab dip & ribs from R.J. Rucker’s we enjoyed the Golden Knights parachuting into the stadium. That was not only an amazing feat to observe, but a moment to reflect on the pride we have as Americans. Once they all landed, the stadium (only half full since it was well before kickoff) broke out into a chant of “USA.” The game was one of the best I’ve seen ECU play in years, and they beat Memphis 30-10. By halftime, it was raining and thanks to Jaimee’s classic pink ECU jacket, I was safe. ***Note, I have videos from the game and if anyone can tell me how to downsize them from 280MB to 100, I'll be able to share them...***

After the game, Joel and I went to Katie’s to visit (I miss that girl something terrible). Sadly we were all hungry and headed to Chili’s around 4:30 with the old folks. We thought about telling the waiter that Katie was Joel’s ex and we felt bad that Joel and I got together so we were taking her out to supper. Only funny if you know they dated in middle school and that I was egging them on under the treehouse to kiss.
