Edgecombe Community College is offering an amazing Continuing Education program for Historic Preservation, and they’ll be offering degree programs starting in the fall.
I took the Decorative Arts class last month, and start the Window Restoration class next Saturday.
That will be lots of fun, as we get some hands-on learning.
But first, some photos from our class trips to the Blount-Bridgers House in Tarboro (where we had our wedding reception), Hope Plantation’s buildings, and Historic Halifax.

I would DIE for built-ins like this.

The King-Basemore house...so neat! And moved to it's location by a local farmer, only dislocating two bricks in the process.

I don't mind sewing, but I'm glad I don't have to make my own thread.

I have a fascination with old locks. They hold secrets.

*Notice the humongous mortar & pestle and ginormous bread bowl in the above photo.
