Last Saturday Joel and I headed out to buy garden materials. First True Value, then Mitchell's Hardware, then Lowes. It's amazing how helpful local people are. We were looking at plants downtown when a random stranger recommended tomato advice. And the owners of the stores were more than ready to help personally. On the way out of town, we stopped at the farmer's market and strolled through, picking up fresh flowers, homemade oatmeal soap, baked bread, chocolate covered nuts...you get the idea.
That night we headed to Greenville for a banquet--the ECU Student Planning Alumni Society hosted a dinner to recognize the graduating seniors. It was nice to see their work on display, meet other planners, and keep up with professors.
