Though I worked the whole week and we were packing for our 
road trip, we love having company and when Chris & Steph had the week available we said, “Come on down!” and they brought themselves and their sweet German Shepherd puppy. How I didn’t get a picture of Deac (WF Deacons) I don’t know, but she was super cute. New Year’s Eve I came home from work, took a nap, and then we headed downtown for the big 300th celebration. It looked quiet, but apparently everyone was there but just inside a bunch of stores out of the rain. We tried a better vantage point for the fireworks, but that was too much trouble and just ended up walking down to the water for a great view. It must have lasted twenty minutes, and we took some pictures, kissed our spouses, and headed home to bed.
